Seaweed Snacks

"Seaweed snacks, you say?" Yes, you can eat seaweed and it is really yummy and good for you! I'm sure it sounds like a strange snack, or something that one of those silly super crazy healthy people eat. But, my son LOVES these seaweed snacks! There are some different companies that make them, and they are all yummy! My husband and I even think so! :) They are a great little snack for toddlers too, and they are so good for them! Seaweed is rich in protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron, potassium, zinc and magnesium.... that's a mouthful! Sea's Gift has two different kinds... this sweet flaky seaweed (good for sprinkling on other foods) or seaweed "chips". Their brand is about $0.79 for a pack, but it doesn't have very much inside. I think the bigger pack by Yama Moto Yama is a better deal. I prefer the seaweed "chips" because they're easier for my son to hold and feed himself. I got mine at Whole Foods, but I'm sure they can be found elsewhere... maybe an Asian supermarket. Happy snacking! :)
